Tools and Toolboxes

Background

This project allows students to practice using basic building tools (hammer, screwdrivers, and clamps) to build a functional product (toolbox).

We will partner with a local carpenter to help us practice and build with these tools.

Students will build and paint a toolbox.

Students will reflect on how they used perseverance to complete this project.

Students will present this process and product during student-led conferences.

Kindergarten/1st grade and 1st grade
